‘Young’ originated in Florida and is an ‘Edward’ x Kent No. 14 cross (Sturrock, 1969). The tree is moderately vigorous with a spreading canopy. The fruit monoembryonic, the peel is golden-yellow with an orange blush, 510-624 g. The pulp is pale yellow, fiberless and has a weak pleasant aroma and mild sweet flavor. ‘Young’ is a midseason cultivar.
