‘Ruby’ originated in Florida and is a moderately vigorous tree (Campbell and Campbell, 1992; Young and Sauls, 1989 ). The fruit is monoembryonic and the peel ground color is yellow-orange with a dark red to crimson blush with numerous yellow dots, 170-300g. The pulp is orange-yellow with fine, non-objectionable fiber; pulp has a rich, aromatic, spicy sweet flavor of good quality. ‘Ruby’ is a late midseason to late cultivar.
