‘Palmer’ originated in Florida and is a moderately vigorous tree with an upright canopy (Campbell, 1992; Knight et al., 2009). The fruit is monoembryonic, the peel background color is green but is mostly covered in a purple to a dark red to crimson blush, 510-850 g . The pulp has little fiber, is orange-yellow, with a weak aroma and mild flavor of good quality. ‘Palmer’ is a late midseason to late season cultivar.
